Hidden Valley Ranch Social Media
Art Direction | Design | Filming | Editing | Strategy | Copywriting | Social Media Management
Since April 2022, I have been a freelance Social Media Content Creator for Hidden Valley Ranch. In this role, I developed a quarterly content calendar, created and pitched concepts, strategized, filmed and art directed photography and video, designed, edited, wrote copy, and scheduled organic posts for the Hidden Valley Ranch social media accounts, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Pinterest. I also managed and delegated work to content creators, monitored and gathered UGC, designed and edited paid ads, and did community management and engagement on social platforms. I implemented a new social process, redesigned the brand’s look on social media, and was a go-to social expert for The Clorox Company’s internal agency, Electro.
Results: From April 2022 – April 2023, I had complete creative control of the brand’s organic social media presence. During this time, the brand’s reach on TikTok went up more than 1000%, reach on Instagram was +17.2%, reach on Facebook was +5.6%. Followers on Instagram went +24.1%, followers on Facebook went +23.9%, followers on Twitter went +4.1%, and followers on TikTok went +4.4%. Engagement on Instagram increased by +142.5% and engagement on TikTok increased by >1000%.
Seemingly Ranch
In September 2023, after Taylor Swift attended a Chiefs game to cheer on Travis Kelce, a fan account posted a photo of her on X eating a chicken tender with ketchup and “seemingly ranch.” The phrase “seemingly ranch” blew up on social media and I made the most of the moment by posting memes on X and Instagram, and changed the name of the Hidden Valley Ranch accounts to Seemingly Ranch. The posts went viral and received the most organic reach Hidden Valley Ranch has seen on X with 3.3M impressions.
