The Meladies

As one of the founders of The Meladies, Marquette University's all-female a cappella group, I served on the board for two years as Public Relations Coordinator and one year as Event Coordinator. Duties as Public Relations Coordinator included pitching, designing, and promoting campaigns for events and concerts. I managed all social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and a blog. I did a rebrand in 2015, which included a new logo, website, and merchandise.
Results: During my time as Public Relations Coordinator, The Meladies Facebook followers more than tripled, Instagram and Twitter followers both doubled, a new Snapchat account was created, and I designed a geofilter on Snapchat before it was cool. 😎 Engagement on all combined social media accounts increased tenfold and we more than quadrupled our earnings.
